Keep GOING!

Yesterday was a long day/I worked up until about 7pm last night working on some projects. My husband finally said to me: “Babe, it’s time to end your work day”. Right after that, we watched a movie with the family, then I went to bed/I had an early meeting this morning. All of that to say, I had plans to “limit” today’s workout, because I was tired/needed my rest (note: we rode about 30 miles or more just since Sunday...I thought I was good/today I wanted to take it easy).
Moreover, while riding, I said to my husband:”I’m only riding 8 miles today.” He looked at me and said:”Come on...you can at least go to Reynolds Road.” I was adamant/I said “No!” Approximately, one minute later this random biker (like, this dude was legit—helmet, pro bike, shorts, glasses, etc.) came out of nowhere/flew by us (coming towards us from the opposite direction, so there’s no way he heard us/at least a full minute had passed by) and yelled out, “KEEP GOING!” I looked at my husband —he looked at me —we both laughed out loud, and my husband immediately took the opportunity to gloat & say, “I told you so...that was confirmation!”
Side note: we are radical people who absolutely believe that GOD speaks in deep ways—AND in very simple/unconventional ways. *We’re so spiritual* (smile)
So, yes...initially I had ZERO plans of going those EXTRA miles! But it literally only took some random person...someone I didn’t even know, encouraging me—and giving me that “extra” boost I needed by simply yelling, “KEEP GOING!” ♀️ Granted, my husband had told me this, but sometimes we need to hear it from someone else (“...A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his own household.
MARK 6:4 AMP)🤦🏾♀️
My takeaway: The road sometimes seems and feels too long 🥴 & too hard to travel. It’s tiring, exhausting, and can be very lonely, as not too many people are traveling it. BUT, if I truly want the results I’m praying & working so hard for...I must be “WILLING” to GO THE EXTRA MILE (S)! It hurts...it’s frustrating & exhausting at times...but IT’S WORTH IT!!🏽 And I know I’m not the only one!🤪 Thus, if you’re struggling/“feel” like you just don’t have the drive to push yourself (in whatever it may be)...take this post as that “random biker” saying to YOU (yes, YOU) “KEEP GOING!”️ #Worthit
