Scared the Heck Out of Me!
Quick Story...
So, these are old pics; but they tell a story as they always remind me of who I am. Meaning, I chose this background purposely. It’s a burned down building in the background, but I saw colors (hence the outfit) —and something very special. In fact, I shouldn’t have been there taking pics in the rubbish. But, if you know me…like really know me outside of social media, then you are well aware that ‘rubbish’ might be frightening, but I don’t run from it.
Moreover, this week I did something really BIG! And if I’m completely honest…I was terrified—and my heart felt like it dropped to my stomach! I worked on it for the past three months; and there were days when I said to myself, “Phewww Lawd, this is a lot to get done ” BUT, I didn’t freeze up (well, I did momentarily ); I dug deep and used that adrenaline to get it DONE!
Case in point: some of the greatest moments of your life will scare the heck out of you!!! But don’t run from it, run straight into it—and watch GOD straight blow your mind!! He will have you doing things that completely ROCK you to your core (in an absolute good way)!!
So, yeah…the next time you feel like freezing up & jumping out of your skin due to the task, journey, unknown, open door, etc., just take it all in—and GO FOR IT! God will give you the GRACE to do things you only dreamt of (and you will do them exceptionally well)!!
Stay focused. Shut out the noise & distractions. Stop wasting time. Dig deep and BE who God called you to be (in ALL areas of life)! And note: your journey is YOUR journey. It’s not supposed to look like anybody else’s.
