Morning reflection/more like a blog (Iโ€™ll post this in my blogs as well):

Process: a natural phenomenon marked by gradual changes that lead toward a particular result. A series of actions or operations conducing to an end. I can vividly remember on multiple occasions wanting to just skip over certain phases of life. For example: when I was completing my undergraduate degree, I had very small childrenโ€”and some days I felt like I was literally losing my mind... Like seriously!! Or, when I think back when I first started WOW/Women of Worth as a small group/before it became a nonprofit (canโ€™t believe itโ€™s been over 15 years).

Our first community conference had about 7 attendees (no lie); our second conference had a little more, and we eventually reached a total of 700 + women, most of whom werenโ€™t even from the Jackson community/they traveled from far and near to be in attendance. We even did FB LIVEโ€™s, โ€œTalksโ€ and uploaded low quality videos. But hey...we were trying!

๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ผ๐—ณ โ€œ๐—›๐—ผ๐˜„ ๐—ถ๐˜ ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฑโ€โ€”but the objective here is this: back then...I did not appreciate the sleepless nights that came with raising a family and grinding in school. Like who would? I was tired, irritated and I wanted to skip over that part of my life and just graduate already! Also, hosting events; doing large giveaways to the Florence Crittenton; mentoring young girls from there; bringing them to my house with their little kiddos, and more, was crazy for a young married mother, right!?

But...it was so much BIGGER than me! Granted, WOW has changed, evolved, grown, and shifted in so many ways; but when I look back over the process...itโ€™s SUPER clear that is was soooo much more than what I realized back then!

All of that to say...donโ€™t rush the PROCESS! Endure. Push through. And even ENJOY each phase! Whatโ€™s being birthed in you is so much BIGGER than what you could ever imagine! And finally...donโ€™t be afraid of CHANGE! Sometimes things will SHIFTโ€”but itโ€™s important for you to embrace the change and go with the flow! Growth requires change. Thus, when you feel the shift happening, donโ€™t resist! Simply adjust your expectations and open your heart to whatโ€™s NEXT!

Is it easier said than done!? Well absolutely! But note this:

Your execution and obedience is not just for you, itโ€™s for the future. Your obedience sets the tone, precedent and pattern for generations to come.

The next generation is following your example. Itโ€™s your choice to either establish a pattern of generational successโ€”or you can establish a generational pattern of defeat and failure. Itโ€™s up to you!
